Ian Shultis completes project, makes Eagle

Ian Shultis, son of Steve and Lisette Shultis of East Fishkill, received the rank of Eagle Scout during an Eagle Court of Honor on May 29.

Ian is a member of Boy Scout Troop 40, sponsored by St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

Ian's service project involved work on the grotto at St. Columba Church. A bridge and a path were constructed to allow for comfortable and safe visits. Also, landscaping was added around the grotto. Lighting was installed so the grotto can be safely used throughout the year.

Ian received support from Scouting, friends and family toward this award.
